Five-Day English Afternoon Tea Course with Tea Party

The student will be taught how to prepare a range of recipes which have been selected to illustrate the preparation of a variety of traditional English afternoon tea meals. The programme is designed to provide experience of all the different methods of cake preparation using a wide range of ingredients. Course content includes an introduction into the history of tea, the vocabulary of the subject and related items including antique and vintage crockery and tea-ware.  Access to reference material will be freely available and will be referred to throughout the course to illustrate links to social history, literature and art. Also included will be a visit to a local tea room and an accompanied trip for the student to purchase utensils and ingredients to take home.

The course will culminate with an afternoon tea party hosted by the tutor and student.

Attendance hours 10am until 5pm daily (includes a 1hr lunch break).

Course fee: £580 per person which includes:  
30 hours tuition over 5 days
All ingredients
Tea party expenses
Recipe folder
Eco cotton canvas bag and notebook
Certificate of Attendance (if requested at time of booking)
Optional extras: Travel & related expenses for excursions

Maximum 2 persons per session

Please note that no meals are included in this course. We can provide details as to a range of eating places within walking distance if required.
