Over the years I have found that many students do not have the time to take the five-day course but would like to spend more than one day learning about tea and baking. For quite a while now I have been creating tailor-made courses to suit the individual student's needs; usually these are created to fit into the time available. However it is also possible to create a course with, for example, an emphasis on baking rather than a combination of baking and tea history. Some students have never done any baking so they require a course beginning from scratch, whereas others are skilled in areas such as French patisserie, which is a completely different way of creating sweet afternoon treats. I can offer a course to show you how to create healthier cakes for your children or, perhaps one that will help you organise a vintage tea party.
If you are interested in taking a course in English afternoon tea but cannot find what you are looking for in the courses already listed, please complete the application form on this page and tick the boxes indicating your requirements.
Please note we cannot offer courses of a shorter duration than one day.
For students who speak English as a second language it is possible to combine one of the courses with English language lessons. Please note these lessons are informal, one-to-one sessions with an emphasis on conversation, reading for comprehension and improving vocabulary. There is no facility here to sit exams.
